The Chisholm Foundation
welcomes all applications that fall within its mission.
While
only a fraction of these can be funded in any given year,
in some cases consideration of a worthwhile proposal may be
deferred to a subsequent year.
The Foundation
is eager to consider special projects
-
such as
"seed" or
demonstration
projects -
which,
if successful, can be
expanded and continued
through the efforts of additional financial supporters.
Matching gifts
or challenge grants are often pursued
as a means of leveraging the Foundation's effort.
Proposals submitted to the Foundation are reviewed
by the Directors twice a year,
and grants are made in May and November.
Due to the number of
proposals received,
there can be no guarantee that a proposal will be reviewed
immediately.
Therefore, applicants are encouraged to submit
proposals well in advance of need.
