The Chisholm Foundation has no specific application format. However, certain types of information are important in a complete application, including the following:
  • description of the proposed project;
  • summary of the submitting organization and its officers and/or board;
  • project budget and timetable;
  • the amount requested from the Chisholm Foundation;
  • other funders (if any) of the project and any other pending proposals;
  • a copy of the submitting organization's IRS tax exemption letter;
  • brochures or other published material pertaining to the project or the organization.

Applicants that have not previously submitted materials to the Foundation, or that seek a more immediate response, can also send an inquiry letter containing a brief outline of their proposal. This will enable the Directors to determine more quickly if there is an interest to pursue further. Send letters of inquiry to:
